NaphCare is currently hiring a Part-Time Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) to join our Jail-Based Competency Treatment (JBCT) facility located in Grand Junction, CO at the Mesa County Detention Center.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Clinician to play a critical role in our continuing mission to provide quality healthcare in the correctional industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a contributing member of the multidisciplinary treatment team for JBCT patients in roles as clinician, treatment plan coordinator, case manager, and discharge planner.
  • Perform and document treatment plans, treatment team review notes, discharge summaries, and progress notes.
  • Provide individual and group therapeutic and psychoeducational services targeting competency restoration to JBCT patients.
  • Coordinate with health and correctional staff regarding patients' mental health care.
  • Participate in educational and training activities related to mental health care for patients, security personnel, and healthcare staff.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-V-TR criteria and mental health practice standards.
Qualifications:
  • Masters-prepared candidate with active, unrestricted licensure as a mental health clinician in Colorado.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Psychologist (PsyD/PhD).
  • 1 year of experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in a correctional or secure environment preferred, but not required.
  • Experience working with seriously mentally ill individuals highly preferred.
  • Valid CPR card.
