Licensed Pharmacist - Full Time/Part Time - Giant Eagle : Job Details

Job Summary

Join our team as a Full Time or Part Time Licensed Pharmacist, with opportunities to work between 16 to 40 hours each week. You will play a crucial role in building strong relationships with our patients by providing safe, accurate, and efficient pharmaceutical care that exceeds their expectations. Job Description

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Experience Desired: Problem resolution and time management skills
• Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
• Certification or Licensing Required: Pharmacy license, Immunization Certification/License (as required by state), Valid CPR Certification
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 25 pounds

Job Responsibilities

• Stay informed on new medications, therapies, and trends within the pharmacy industry.
• Adhere to all policies, laws, and regulations related to pharmacy practice, including HIPAA.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare partners, including physicians, nurses, and medical staff.
• Meet and maintain production goals and quality standards set by management.
• Provide training and mentorship to new team members upon their onboarding.
• Administer immunizations when required.
• Contribute to a welcoming and positive work environment for all staff members.
• Oversee the accurate replenishment of medication system canisters.
• Exemplify outstanding patient care at all times.
• Verify the accuracy of filled prescriptions according to quality assurance standards.
• Conduct quality checks on prescriptions for correct medication and equipment.
• Resolve any prescription order exceptions promptly.
• Handle prescription transfers effectively.
• Support the Team Leader in managing inventory and ordering supplies.
• Maintain a clean and sterile workspace that complies with all regulations.
• Fulfill duties of Pharmacy Manager and pharmacy technicians as necessary.
• Assist technicians with prescription interpretation and billing processes.
• Complete necessary paperwork and understand the auditing process.
• Track production metrics and achieve operational goals.
• Participate in quarterly Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) meetings.
