Job Summary

Job Description
- Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
- Experience Desired: Problem resolution and time management skills
- Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
- Certification or Licensing Required: Pharmacy license, Immunization Certification/License (as required by state), Valid CPR Certification
- Lifting Requirement: Up to 25 pounds
Job Responsibilities
- Stay informed on new medications, therapies, and trends within the pharmacy industry.
- Adhere to all policies, laws, and regulations related to pharmacy practice, including HIPAA.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare partners, including physicians, nurses, and medical staff.
- Meet and maintain production goals and quality standards set by management.
- Provide training and mentorship to new team members upon their onboarding.
- Administer immunizations when required.
- Contribute to a welcoming and positive work environment for all staff members.
- Oversee the accurate replenishment of medication system canisters.
- Exemplify outstanding patient care at all times.
- Verify the accuracy of filled prescriptions according to quality assurance standards.
- Conduct quality checks on prescriptions for correct medication and equipment.
- Resolve any prescription order exceptions promptly.
- Handle prescription transfers effectively.
- Support the Team Leader in managing inventory and ordering supplies.
- Maintain a clean and sterile workspace that complies with all regulations.
- Fulfill duties of Pharmacy Manager and pharmacy technicians as necessary.
- Assist technicians with prescription interpretation and billing processes.
- Complete necessary paperwork and understand the auditing process.
- Track production metrics and achieve operational goals.
- Participate in quarterly Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) meetings.
