Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse
Job Description
+ Perform in-house labs, collect specimens for outside labs (e.g., Pap, cultures), and perform quality control in accordance with organizational protocols.
+ Prepare equipment and assist physician during treatments and examinations of patients.
+ Complete and update all assigned tasks and logs (e.g., correctly recording shipments and vaccines received in appropriate areas, signing out meds and treatments in log).
+ Initiate follow-up as necessary (as directed by provider) including encounters, labs, and closing non-billables.
+ Provide health teaching as indicated by physician, diagnosis, and/or patient inquiries, and direct patient to RN as necessary.
+ Complete prior authorizations for specialized medication and services.
+ Attend case conferences and document case updates in patient record.
+ Collect urine drug screens.
+ Follow up on patient adherence and document accordingly in patient chart.
Hard Skills
+ Licensed Practical Nurse - NYS
+ CPR Certification
+ 1-4 Years of experience, ideally in a primary care setting
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Southampton, New York.
Work Environment
The organization has 9 locations on Long Island in Suffolk County and 27 total throughout New Yorks Hudson Valley, NYC, and Long Island.
