Job Description: InGenesis is currently sourcing for LPN/LVN - Immunizations candidates to work for our client. In this role, you will assist in the management of the immunization program. - Assess and evaluate the immunization status and needs of the patients.
- Provide education to patients on immunizations, including benefits, risks, side effects, aftercare, and schedule for future vaccines.
- May be assigned to other nursing posts as needed to support the mission.
- Evaluate the health care needs of residents and assist the RN in the development of nursing care plans to meet those needs.
- Perform prescreening and intake screening of patients newly arrived at the facility.
- Must adhere to practical nursing principles, procedures, and techniques for appropriate patient care and take direction from registered nurses and onsite administrative personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved, accredited Vocational/Practical Nurse program located in a state, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory.
- Current, full and unrestricted LVN/LPN license in the state in which the duty station is located.
- One year of professional experience as a licensed vocational nurse/licensed practical nurse.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association®.
- Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish (preferred, not required).
Physical Demands
- The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking or jogging unaided over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy patients or equipment.
- The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities, such as agility and dexterity, visual, and hearing capabilities.
- Must be able to respond to any medical emergency in the facility, via foot, within four minutes and perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
- Must have the ability to assist sick, injured, or aging detainees or staff exiting the building during an emergency.
