Position Summary:
Provides administrative, database, and project control support for the management of Company-owned land and submerged land, including pipeline licenses, marine construction permits, submerged land leases, and dredged material placement agreements. Requires knowledge of project controls, database, maintenance, & customization, invoicing, program policies and procedures, customer-focused relationship building capacity, and independent judgment. Serves as liaison with internal and external customers and stakeholders.

- Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies and guidelines that affect the planning for submerged land and adjacent industrial property uses, riparian rights, NEPA, permits, departmental manuals and special legislation
- Knowledge of principles, concepts and techniques of land use planning and submerged lands
- Knowledge of dredging and dredged material placement area processes
- Knowledge of methods, practices and processes of surveying and right-of-way management
- Knowledge of basic budgeting and accounting principles
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Organizational, research and analytical skills
- Skill in proofing and editing documents
Education/Experience:
- Associate's degree in business administration, Communications, Land Management/Administration or related major in a public or accredited private academic institution preferred
- 2+ years experience in database, real estate, or land management field or 4+ years of related experience administrative support required
- 2+ years of related GIS, environmental, regulatory, or project management experience preferred (GIS big plus but not must have)
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Update and maintain the database(s) used to manage licenses, permits, leases, and agreements
- Query database, send renewal notices to customers, and follow-up as needed
- Monitor tracking spreadsheet for as-built data, send notices to customers, and follow-up as needed
- Assist in executing requests for licenses, marine construction permits, and dredged material placement agreements, including renewals and amendments
- Perform general data entry tasks
- Manage quality control procedures to ensure appropriate documentation is received, invoicing is generated, legal documents are produced, and refund requests for deposits and fees
- Prepare files/projects and execute Records and Information Management procedures
- Apply geographic information systems (GIS) and various internal and external databases to research and resolve submerged land use and ownership issues
- Maintain knowledge of the federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations affecting the Company's channel department and regulatory compliance programs
- Provide customer service to internal and external clients and applicants by various means, including meetings. Provide information and general knowledge of company policies, practices, and operations
