We have the perfect job for you! Out of Print seeks a Licensing and Product Development Assistant to join our fast-paced and innovative team. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously. The Licensing and Product Development Assistant will work closely with the Director of Merchandising to support the Product Design team. Out of Print's mission is to celebrate the joy of reading by creating high-quality, stylish apparel and accessories. Designed with readers in mind, our products feature iconic book-related artwork and literary references to delight book lovers of all ages.   • Supports various special projects and research requests to identify new licensing opportunities, including consumer trend research, or deep dives into a specific author or book title.
  • Works with the Director of Merchandising to identify licensing opportunities and pitch new partners.
  • Maintains and updates the contract database as new deals are finalized.
  • Negotiates contract renewals with existing partners and works with the Penguin Random House legal team to draft and route contracts for signature.
  • Works closely with internal teams, including design, sales and production, on licensor deliverables.
  • Works on product approvals by submitting digital mockups, physical pre-production samples and final samples to licensing partners for review and approval.
  • Communicates requests and edits with the Product Design team to ensure licensor satisfaction.
  • Coordinates with licensor to gather information on key moments and marketing plans.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and interest in new challenges and adaptable to changing needs
The salary for this position is $51,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
