Licensing Project Manager, Easton, PA GENERAL SUMMARY: Leads product development process from design submission through launch for Crayola's licensee base to ensure products are developed on brand and on trend. Drives communication across department to ensure licensing leadership is aware of licensee product direction and resolves issues to keep development on track and on time for each season's delivery. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Manages the product development for 800 products annually from 70 different licensees.
- Project manages multi-stage development process of licensed products from ideation to retail shelf, ensuring compliance to product development requirements including but not limited to: signed contracts, QA audit documents and Safety testing documentation, and facilitates inclusion of Crayola core product with Crayola Licensing Operations and logistics.
- Establishes strong relationships with licensee Product Development and Operations teams to ensure a long lead development pipeline reinforcing innovation and consumer led insights.
- Resolves product development differences between licensees and extended team to ensure collaborative win-win solutions
- Project manages extended team to ensure compliance for timely turnaround of internal/external submissions and alignment on concept, design, and graphics.Consolidates direction from all stakeholders to ensure one voice to licensee development teams.
- Manages licensee product development and use of assets in style guide to ensure all products are developed in compliance with brand guidelines, on trend and on time for each seasonal delivery.
- Works with Crayola licensing leadership, creative department, creative agencies and licensees to ensure creative assets are developed on trend and in line with licensee category development needs.
- Manages licensee's use of and compliance with licensing software system, inclusive of: licensee scorecard evaluations, , and internal/external communications, asset management, and product approvals. Organizes licensee's Semiannual/quarterly line reviews, licensee orientations, and product development meetings.
- Develops and executes product development communication strategy to highlight licensee initiatives and packaging to internal/external audiences.
- Ensures collection of all contractual samples from licensees, routes samples through organization for visibility of licensee initiatives, and creates displays of licensee products for tradeshows, meetings, and summits.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business or marketing discipline desired
- Min 5 years' business experience with preferably 3 years' experience in licensing preferably in product development
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required including the ability to communicate in a firm and direct manner.
- Detail oriented with excellent time management skills; ability to effectively handle multiple assignments in a constantly changing environment and set priorities and manage time to hit key deliverables each day
- Proficient skills with Microsoft word, excel, and power point
- Basic database management skills.
- Self-directed and able to work independently
- Travel 10%
