This pool has been established to accept applications for possible openings for part-time instructors that may arise throughout the year. Provide teaching and learning support to Health and Human Performance students.

Required Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Experience:

* Master's degree in Health and Human Performance or directly related field (such as Public Health), or a bachelor's degree plus 27 graduate quarter hours in the above field(s) and in active pursuit of master's degree or doctorate.

* Recent college teaching experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Must be able to work respectfully with individuals of all cultures, backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Sufficient visual acuity to recognize alphanumeric characters. Good hearing and well-developed speaking ability to communicate with staff and students.

Work is performed in an office or classroom setting with minimal exposure to safety and health hazards.

Essential Duties:

* Promote excellence in instruction through innovative instructional methods in the Health and Human Performance program.

* Identify and meet the needs for student learning. Promote student learning and skills attainment. Work within the guiding principles of outcomes based learning.

* Develop course curriculum, deliver teaching to students, assess student learning. Grade papers and turn in grades on time.

* Work within the philosophy and mission of the college as an educator.

* Advise Health and Human Performance students and facilitate in their learning.

* Perform assigned teaching and advising roles, to include promoting the program and student retention.

* Participate as assigned on departmental and college committees/councils.

* Actively engage in communication and collaboration with the Health and Human Performance Department.

* Work on a planned schedule of professional development to attain current knowledge and practice.

* Assist in departmental learning activities as assigned.

Salary and Compensation Information:

Courses are paid on a per-credit basis. New Part-time Faculty begin at Step 1 of the payscale, with steps being rolled once per term.

* You can view the 24/25 AY Part-Time Salary Schedule document at this link. Table 1 illustrates the cost per credit for each step on the pay scale. Table 2 illustrates the compensation per hour for meetings, trainings, advising, curriculum development, or other related work.

As a condition of employment, all new employees are required to be compensated via direct deposit.
