Hood Skibowl Campus - Government Camp, OR DescriptionJob Summary Under the supervision on the shift supervisors, lead lift operators will perform a variety of tasks in various positions such as: Ticket scanning/checking and lift operations. Lead lift operators shall perform their assigned duties in accordance with written and verbal procedures and policies to provide the safest and most efficient operation possible of the chairlifts. Essential Functions
- Knowledge and performance of opening and closing procedures.
- Knowledge and performance of operational and emergency procedures.
- Maintenance of operational logs and completion of incident reports as required.
- Verification of valid tickets for each guest.
- Knowledge and observance of all area attractions, policies, and procedures for guest education.
- Knowledge and performance of loading and unloading procedures for guest.
- Knowledge and performance of all lift related and company policy and procedures.
- Maintain positive interaction and communication with guests and coworkers.
- Attend required team meetings.
- Assist in other areas and departments as needed.
- Address all manner of guest questions or concerns, notify supervisor as necessary.
- Maintain work areas in an organized manner.
- To be familiar with all operator duties listed in the ANSI code, 4.3.2.3.2.
- Knowledge and performance of power outage reset procedures for all lifts and returning to operation (day and night operation)
- Knowledge of procedures for starting APUs and implementation of use
- Knowledge of locations of night light power switches
- Knowledge of locations of generators and procedures for implementation of use
- Maintain the highest safety standards and code compliance for guests and staff on a daily basis.
- Other duties as requested by Manager, Senior Team, or VP/GM
QualificationsRequirements
- Must be 18 years of age to operate machinery.
- Able to stand outdoors in a variety of extreme weather conditions for the entire shift.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to lift 40lbs over your head repetitively.
- Be able to deal with high volumes of people in friendly, courteous manner.
- Must be able to work Holidays and Weekend which may include evenings.
- Adhere to the uniform and personal hygiene policies of Mt. Hood Skibowl, LLC.
- Have or obtain a valid driver license within a specified amount of time.
- Team player - be flexible and open to new ideas and changing priorities.
- Other Skills/Abilities:
- Assisting with other departments as needed.
