The Lift Operator is responsible for safely loading and unloading guests of all ages and abilities using our chairlifts. As a member of the lift department team, the lift operator will provide exceptional service for our guests during their visit. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow company/department safety policies and procedures.
- Able to work independently or in a small group to accomplish daily job-related tasks.
- Complete pre-operational procedures and inspections.
- Assist in snow removal, daily set up and routine maintenance of work areas.
- Anticipate guests' needs and provide service above and beyond guest expectations.
- Remain alert for guests improperly loading and unloading the ski lifts.
- Assist with completing lift closing procedures.
- Work with all mountain departments respectfully in assisting and resolving issues that could arise during the operations.
Qualifications:
- 18 years or older, high school diploma or equivalent
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Able to lift 50 pounds, Able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Skiing/Snowboarding is a required
- Completion of Sun Valley lift department/lift operator training
- Can work weekends, holidays, and early mornings (6:00 a.m.)
- Able to work through the entire winter season
