Position Overview: The Light Assembler II is responsible for assembling and inspecting components with a focus on precision and quality. This role involves working with various mechanical parts and electrical components to ensure that final products meet company standards and specifications. The Light Assembler II plays a key role in the production process, ensuring that all assemblies are completed efficiently and to the highest quality. Responsibilities / Tasks Assembles components, subassemblies, products, or systems by performing the following duties.
- Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
- Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
- Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
- Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
- Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
- Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
- Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, stamping and color-coding parts and assemblies.
- Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
- Performs online go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills/Competencies: - MS Office
- SAP
- Ability read and write English.
Education - High school or GED and 2 years of experience in the assembly field or in a related area.
Physical Demands - Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Occasional over-the-head lifting.
- Frequent walking within departmental offices and throughout the plant.
- Occasional standing, stooping, bending, listening, talking, hearing, and reaching.
- Occasional stair climbing, ladder climbing, and forklift operation.
- Handling objects up to 30 pounds occasionally.
