Light Equipment Operator - Street - City of Superior Wisconsin : Job Details

Performs a variety of tasks requiring manual labor as well as skilled work of a varied nature in the operation of motorized equipment categorized as light equipment; does related work as required. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: Employees in this class perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor as well as in the operation of multi-purpose equipment requiring a degree of skill, especially in working grades and in operating equipment more efficiently and safely. Employees in this class are trained to operate the full range of light equipment but may be assigned to operate specific equipment for their assignment. Standard procedures are followed and the work is inspected periodically for safety and economy of operation by a supervisor. The Light Equipment Operator differs from the higher class of Medium Equipment Operator based upon the equipment operated, although, a Light Equipment Operator may train to operate higher rated equipment.
