Pay Range:USD $25.00 - USD $30.00 /Hr.Overview:

The individual in this Part Time Temporary role shall provide services as a University MS and MBA adviser for its Leadership in Medicine Program (LIM) students for the 2024-25 Academic Year. They shall utilize their unique and specialized knowledge of the LIM Program in undertaking the duties to be provided hereunder. They shall register the LIM students each academic quarter by directly inputting them into the Clarkson University registration software. The dates for such services may be amended, from time to time, as may be agreed to by the parties.

Rate of pay is between $25-30 per hour but will not exceed a total of $5,000/year.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet with students individually to discuss academic goals, course selections, and career aspirations
  • Assist students in developing personalized academic plans and monitoring their progress towards degree completion
  • Provide information on academic requirements, university policies, and available resources to support student success
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to address students' academic challenges and facilitate their academic journey
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and other events to promote academic success and student engagement
  • Maintain accurate student records and documentation of advising sessions
Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in academic advising, counseling, or related student support role
  • Strong understanding of academic programs, curriculum requirements, and university policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Academic Advising or Counseling
  • Experience working in a higher education institution
  • Familiarity with student information systems and academic advising softw
