POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: This position plays a crucial role in the daily preparation and execution of food items on the line, stations, or other areas of the kitchen with established recipes and techniques. Your commitment to maintaining high standards of appearance and hygiene, including clean clothes, nails, and hair and no heavy perfumes/colognes, is highly valued. You will set up your stations according to guidelines and prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner. Following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as directed by a supervisor and restocking all items as needed throughout your shift are key responsibilities. You will also clean and maintain your station while practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills. Assisting with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas is also part of your role. This position is required to report to their shift on time, using the time clock to check in and out. Manage your time, including taking meal breaks in compliance with New York Labor Law and keeping management informed when leaving your station. Required Skills / Qualifications:

- Previous prep and/or line cook experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
- Understanding and ability to comply with safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
- Knowledge of all dishes or tasks at their station, ability to cook and produce recipes as instructed, and a firm understanding of all ingredients necessary.
- Ability to use all relevant equipment.
- Ability to prioritize work activities and provide accurate information and assistance to any management request in a timely manner.
- Ability to keep calm when faced with any unusual situations.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job.
- Comply and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Physical Demands/Working Environment:
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time (8-12 hours)
- Ability to move, pull, push, carry, or lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion and 30 lbs. regularly.
- Ability to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hand regularly and in frequent or repetitive motion.
- Ability to reach items at varying heights.
- Occasionally, kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as required.
