Line Cook - Mast Market - Bedford : Job Details

We are a family business seeking local and organic food obsessed, positive, meticulous, hard workers to join our Culinary Team in Bedford, NY. Duties include:

• Food preparation: Prepares ingredients, including cleaning, cutting, and washing

• Cooking: Cooks menu items according to recipes and instructions, including light bites, main dishes, sides, sauces, and dressings.

• Presentation: Plates food based on the chef's instructions

• Kitchen Maintenance: Cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment

• Stocking: Stocks and sets up kitchen stations

• Food Safety: Ensures that the kitchen meets food safety regulations and hygiene standards

• Customer Service: Works with front of house to ensure orders are completed on time and to request

Line Cooks should have the following skills and abilities:

• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational Skills
• Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
• Ability to work as a team member
• Ability to follow printed recipes and plate specifications
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy materials.
