Line Cook - The Waterville Hotel : Job Details

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience prepping and cooking a variety of foods, enjoys working in a busy restaurant environment and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively. A successful candidate will have restaurant or catering experience, a passion for food prep, and strong customer service skills. We are looking for energetic candidates who may want to start and evolve into leadership roles and help to develop recipes and specials as we grow our menu. We're looking for you to become a kitchen leader.

Responsibilities:

• Prep food and ingredients for the day and weeks schedule
• Prepare and cook meals according to customers' needs and preferences.
• Prepare food in a timely manner.
• Be able to explain dishes to wait staff and customers.
• Arrive to work on time and stay late if needed
• Follow recipes and the direction of the executive chef
• Clean work station, kitchen, and do dishes as needed
• MUST be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time (minimum standing for 4-8+ hours)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week or more during peak season

Experience:

• Restaurant experience: 1 year minimum (Preferred)

• Daily Shift Options Between 10am and 9pm
