We are looking for a Per Diem Line Cook. Must be experienced in Food Safety requirements. This position is ideal for someone with a flexible schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and as needed. Requirements of the Line CookUnder the direction of the Director of Food Services, Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-end institutional cooking and catering, preparing assigned food items by following recipes and portion control guidelines.Qualifications
  • High School or GED Diploma
  • 2-year experience as a Line Cook
  • Preparation in a food service setting preferred
  • Ability to prepare high-end institutional cooking and catering, experience required
  • Current CPR Certification or must be obtained
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training or must be obtained
  • Food Handler's Certification or must be obtained
  • Valid Florida Driver's License
  • Be at least 21 years of age to drive company vehicles, if required
Essential Job Function of the Line Cook
  • Prepares assigned food items by following recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Prepares ingredients for daily menu offerings
  • Prepares vegetables by washing, chopping, grating and slicing them for inclusion in side dishes, salads, soups and appetizers
  • Maintains clean sanitary conditions in immediate work area.
  • Makes sure that all dishes, pots and pans, and cooking equipment are left clean at the end of shift
  • Organizes, sanitizes and cleans the kitchen, storage areas and coolers including floors
  • Attends to customers' request
  • Serves food
  • Packages food for clients
Schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and as needed for department coverage. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as needed. This is a Per Diem shift.
