Line Cook
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be clean, organized, and efficient, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high food safety standards. This role involves working closely with the kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and presentation while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards.
- Assist with food prep, including chopping, measuring, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation and kitchen area.
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures to meet health and safety guidelines.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation policies, including maintaining Safe Serve certification.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of meals.
- Assist with inventory management and notify the team of low-stock items.
- Support the team during peak hours and assist with additional tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Safe Serve Certification (required).
- Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Commitment to cleanliness and food safety standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
