Position Summary
* 100% On-site position
* Compensation: Hourly Rate $19.00 - $25.00
* Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

* 6 AM - 2:30 PM
The Line Service Technician is a customer service position that is responsible for supporting all ground operations for inbound and outbound aircraft crews and passengers. In addition, Line Service is a support position to other departments: Charter, Aircraft Maintenance and Facilities. Safety is of utmost importance at Clay Lacy Aviation. Line Service Technicians work with fuels and other flammable, hazardous materials; proper handling procedures must be followed. The airport area is a high-noise environment; the use of personal protection equipment is required. Operating vehicles and moving aircraft in proximity of people, buildings and other aircraft require extreme caution. Procedures must be followed for your personal safety, the safety of others, and the protection of company and customer property.

Job Responsibilities
Line Service Technician I
* Fuel aircraft in accordance with ATA Specifications 103 and AirBP GAFO Standards.
* Marshal aircraft and assist with aircraft movement in hangars/ramp operations.
* Ensure aircraft are chocked, and secure.
* Effectively and safely communicate information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment.
* Aircraft lavatory and potable water service.
* Safely operate refueling trucks up to 10,000 gallons
* Load and unload baggage.
* Assist pilots with aircraft pre and post flight services.
* Top off fuel trucks and complete proper fuel farm paperwork.
* Operate light ground support equipment.
* Provide basic security duties to people and property.
* Direct people, drivers and flight crews on ramp area.
* Drive company and client vehicles off site.
* Assist other departments as required including facility and hangar cleaning.
* Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Line Service Technician II
Level I responsibilities in addition to:
* Operate ground support equipment.
* Tow aircraft. When under direct supervision, this is considered training.
* Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Essential Physical Functions
The following functions may be performed in variable weather and environmental conditions such as jet engine fumes, dust, or noise.
Line Service Technician I
* Step up and down stairs, ladders, tugs, vehicles, and fuel trucks.
* Work effectively while sitting, standing, walking, or running.
* Able to engage safely and effectively in gross and fine motor control movements such as operating machinery and handheld tools.
* Reach above shoulder level including waving marshalling wands.
* Reach at shoulder level.
* Execute hand signals in order to guide aircraft during arrivals and departures.
* Complete tasks safely and effectively that require hand and eye coordination.
* Lift, carry, push, and pull luggage from ground level to waist and overhead, up to 75 lbs.
* Bending and stooping to pick up tow bars, tools, and other equipment, up to 75 lbs.
* Stooping below aircraft wing to chock.
* Standing and walking for extended periods of time, running when required.
Line Service Technician II
* No different and/or additional physical requirements for Line Service Technician I and II.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
Line Service Technician I
* Must have and maintain a valid driver's license in the state the employee's work location is based in, restricted licenses are not acceptable.
* Learn and comply with all safety and operating standards of vehicle and passenger safety as well as airport policies.
* Pass FAA Drug and Alcohol drug testing, background checks and submit to random testing when required.
* Pass pre-employment drug testing and background check
* Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients at all times.
* Complete NATA Safety First, Clay Lacy Aviation and other job-related training.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, direct interface, over telephone and in writing.
* Ability to make decisions with multiple objectives and implement in a safe, efficient manner.
* Follow oral and written directions; plan and complete assigned duties on a regular schedule; and maintain good working relationships with others.
* Schedules are subject to change. Employees must be available to work flexible hours as changes occur, examples include overtime, holidays, and covering time-off for the team. All Line Service personnel may be required to work graveyard shifts at some point during their employment at Clay Lacy Aviation.
* Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks including but not limited to: facility cleaning, vehicle washing, aircraft window cleaning.
* Ability to work without direct management supervision.
* Must be comfortable with working outdoors, day, night and in all weather conditions.
Line Service Technician II
* No different and/or additional requirements for Line Service Technician I and II.
Essential Cognitive Functions

* Basic computer skills.
* Must have basic math skills.

High School Diploma or GED.

Line Service Technician I

Line Service Technician II
Level I Experience plus:
* 1 - 3 years of military flight line, business aviation line service, or related industry experience.
