Job Title: Construction Line Technician - Russell CountyDepartment: Construction - Russell CountyReports To: Regional Construction ForemanType: Non-ExemptPurpose of PositionTo serve members by providing continuous and reliable electric service by installing, maintaining, and repairing the Cooperative's distribution system.Minimum Job SpecificationsThese specifications are not intended to cover all aspects of the position as the scope and duties may change or be altered based on the business needs of the cooperative.•High school diploma or equivalent plus be a journeyman lineman or have completed 3rd year apprentice program is required.•Required to possess and maintain a valid Class A CDL license (unrestricted preferred).•Must meet all vehicle operation requirements as designated by federal and/or state law.•Required to live within 30 minutes (using Google™ Maps) of the Russell County office (within 6 months if not already) and will be required to become part of the on-call rotation for the Russell County Service Team.•Ability to interact with members on a regular basis and answer customer inquiries.Job Requirements•Must be personable and friendly and have the ability to promote a positive image of self and the Cooperative.•Should be comfortable interacting with people.•Traffic control.•Operating equipment in extreme conditions.•Frequent work in substations.•Assist EKP in switching orders.•Requires the ability to actively engage and comply in all safety programs and initiatives, which includes the ability to satisfactorily pass a drug screen, physical, background check, and possess and maintain a valid Class A CDL driver's license.
