Linen Service Worker - RWJ Barnabas : Job Details

Job Overview:

Collects, washes and redistributes patient personal laundry for assigned unit.

Stock patient rooms with daily supplies and maintains patient rooms neat and orderly.

* High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certifications and Licenses Required:

* N/A

Scheduling Requirements:

* Full Time Day

Essential Functions:

* Collects, washes, and redistributes personal laundry according to hospital policies and procedures

* Organize, store, and rotate seasonal laundry, per department process

* Intake, label, and distribute new clothing, per department process

* Collaborate with social worker and/or therapy director regarding clothing disposal donation/discard vs, guardian pickup, and clothing needs

* Organize and maintain clothing closets and drawers in neat and orderly fashion

* Maintain resident rooms and personal belongings in neat and orderly fashion

* Assist with stocking ADL and PPE supplies upon request

* Recognizes and respects patient and family needs providing a comfortable culturally sensitive environment for care

* Performs designated unit duties such as, but not limited to, replacing suction canisters, answering phone and relaying messages, and maintaining order on the unit

* Performs all duties with a customer service focus
