Job Description:
This position is responsible for the safe handling and distribution of linen throughout the care site. They will also keep accurate inventory and weight of the linen.
Essential Functions
- Collect soiled laundry from areas around the care site for processing or return to off site laundry
- Build linen carts using par levels and take accurate inventory
- Deliver linen to units throughout the care site in a timely manner
- Deliver on demand requested linen as needed
- Accurately weigh in and out all hospital owned linen, mops, etc. and record weights in a timely manner
- Provide cleaning duties as needed based on staffing, patient loads, and time constraints
- May be asked to safely operate motor vehicle and comply with driver requirements to deliver linen to offsite locations (Where applicable)

Qualifications
- Demonstrated communication skills to include following written and/or verbal directions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and to meet the needs of the department and care site
- Demonstrated experience in work related to inventory or linen/laundry (preferred)
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs
- Frequent interactions with customers require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$18.29 - $21.88
