Job Title: Linux Administrator

Experience Required (in years): 8+

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Minimum of 8+ years of work experience as Linux Administrator in complex systems design, implementing and supporting systems software and infrastructure in a medium to large enterprise
• Experience with installing and configuring a wide range of software including server, operating systems, office production software, proprietary software, utilities, and other application specific software.

· Detailed understanding of fundamental network protocols such as routing, TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP, SSL/TLS, Firewalls, and HTTP

· Extensive understanding of Client Serv ers (Dell, Client, Lenovo/IBM, or SuperMicro) including remote access, troubleshooting, booting, firmware, and configuration

· Extensive experience with OS patching and patching tools (RPM, YUM, repos)

• Experience with both Windows and Linux
• Experience with backup, restore and recovery models.
• Knowledge of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options.
• Experience working with and administering Active Directory.
• Experience with VMWare and virtualization technology.
• Experience with Data Storage (SAN/DAS).
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization (PTO) using native monitoring and other tools.
