Description - Required Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
- Required within one year of hire- enrollment in a Master's degree in Library Science program through a Texas accredited university with a deficiency plan OR if you already have a Master's degree, enrolled in School Library Certification program, 24 hours at a Texas accredited university.
- Valid Texas teacher certification.
- Required within 3 years of entering into this position, candidate must pass the School Librarian's TExES (Texas Examination of Educator Standards) after completing Master's in Library Science degree or School Library certificate requirements.
- Required 2+ years classroom teaching experience from a public school or a TEA-accredited campus institution (core content preferred).
- Preferred experience working with technologies and integrating technology into instruction.
- Bilingual skills a plus.
- Knowledge of technologies available for use in instructional media setting.
- Demonstrated experience of legal and ethical trends in literacy & technology (copyright & digital citizenship).
- Familiarity with emerging trends and technologies.
- Strong background in working with diverse student populations.
- Demonstrated strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility to cope with the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
