We are looking for a Litho Press Operator to join our 2nd or 3rd shift on a 12 hour schedule.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Press Operation: Set up, operate, and adjust lithographic presses to produce high-quality pharmaceutical labels. Ensure that all printed labels meet -specific industry standards for clarity, legibility, and durability.

Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections during production to ensure that all labels are free from defects and comply with pharmaceutical regulations. Adjust ink levels, press pressure, and registration as needed to maintain consistent quality.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all labeling processes adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant pharmaceutical regulations. Maintain detailed records of production runs, including materials used and quality checks performed.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on lithographic presses, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Ink and Material Handling: Mix and manage inks according to specific color and consistency requirements. Load and align printing materials, such as label stock, to ensure accurate printing.
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve any issues that arise during the printing process, such as ink smudging, misalignment, or mechanical malfunctions.
  • Documentation: Accurately document production data, including quantities produced, materials used, and any deviations from standard procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience operating lithographic presses, preferably in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of lithographic printing processes, ink mixing, and press setup. Familiarity with the specific requirements for pharmaceutical labeling is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on accuracy and quality, with the ability to detect and correct even minor defects in printed labels.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding of GMP, FDA, and other relevant pharmaceutical regulations as they apply to label production.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to maintain production efficiency.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials up to 40 pounds.
