Litigation Associate - KG Law : Job Details

We are a boutique firm with an office in Union Square seeking a junior associate. We primarily represent visual artists, creative agencies, and technology clients in copyright and trademark litigation.

Specific responsibilities of the position may include:

- Conducting written and oral discovery

- Drafting and editing demand letters

- Extensive legal and factual research

- Written and oral analysis of the law as applied to the facts presented

- Monitoring dockets and assisting with case management

- Communicating directly and effectively with clients

- Preparing and filing copyright applications

- Preparing trademark applications and responding to trademark office actions

An ideal candidate will have:

- At least one year of practical legal experience

- A demonstrated interest or experience in litigation

- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently

- Excellent communication skills and copyediting experience

- A proactive, strategic, and collaborative approach to law practice

- A strong work ethic and an ability to work in a self-directed manner

- A demonstrated interest or experience in copyright law

- An understanding of visual art (street art, illustration, photography, fashion)

This is a fully in-person position at our Union Square office. Candidates must be ready to start immediately. No current law students please.
