The role involves representation of international and domestic insurers during claim investigations and litigation concerning policy defenses of first-party insurance. Must be collaborative and able to act independently throughout the litigation process, with an interest in developing an expertise in insurance coverage work in a unique area. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives within a busy, stimulating, and fast-paced team environment.Job DescriptionAs Litigation Attorney - Insurance, Key Responsibilities will include:

• Taking depositions, attending court hearings and mediation.
• Drafting motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests and interrogatories, and other legal correspondence/litigation documents.
• Varied matters including analyzing insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions, and providing coverage advice and recommendations to clients.
• Working with investigators and experts.
• Actively contributing to the development and maintenance of client relationships.The Successful ApplicantThe successful Litigation Attorney - Insurance will have demonstrable experience including:
  • Admitted to practice in NY (or another US state if wanting to relocate for the role).
  • 3+ years relevant Litigation Attorney experience.
  • First-party insurance coverage experience (e.g., marine, fine art and specie, property, specialty, contingency, special events, cyber, etc.) highly beneficial.
  • Commercial litigation experience including taking depositions, conducting oral arguments, and discovery.
  • Federal court experience.
  • Strong writing, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Relevant hands-on work history.What's on OfferThe Litigation Attorney - Insurance will receive the following benefits:
    • $175,000-$220,000 base salary (depending on experience).
