Live Hanger - COASTAL PROCESSING : Job Details

Purpose/Scope:To transfer live birds from a moving conveyor belt to a moving shackle assembly line.Duties & Responsibilities:Pick up birds from a moving conveyor belt and hang by both legs on a moving shackle assembly line.Pick up live birds from the floor and put back on conveyor. Pick up and dispose of dead birds.Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area.Use required PPE and follows all safety guidelines of the Company.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications: (Required/Desired)Skills & knowledge needed for the effective performance of essential job functions:Prior Live Hang experience (full time or part time) Required.Able to hang birds properly by both legs.Good hand and eye coordination.Able to work at a quick, steady, and repetitive pace.Physical requirements:Stand duration of shift all scheduled hours.Workable use of both hands and able to grasp.Good eye sight (with or without corrective lens).Able to perform repetitive tasks.Able to reach, bend, push, pull, and stoup.Able to lift up to 25 lbs. repeatedly.Environmental conditions:Warm to hot temperatures, wet, dirty, and dusty environment.Dimly lit area.Moderate to loud sound levels.
