Position Summary:The live-in Caregiver will work collaboratively with Residents/Guardians to provide a safe and caring home environment for the Residents. Caregiver will provide Medicaid-funded services and facilitate involvement in the local community. Our ideal candidate will possess the following desired attributes:

- Be comfortable accompanying the young women into the community for their events and activities
- Facilitate social interactions between Residents in the home setting

- Be organized, ethical and uphold professional standards
- Focus on abilities and capacities of residents
Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate support for all aspects of the Residents' activities of daily living
- Plan, purchase and prepare nutritious, fresh meals and snacks
- Ensure shared living spaces are kept clean
- Listen and assist with problem solving and positive behavior supports.
- Facilitate participation in community activities
- Assist with transportation
- Assist with schedules and routines
- Assist with medications
- Teach household skills
- Assist with decision making
- Monitor and assist with hygiene as needed
- Facilitate communications with families
Required training:
- Home Care Aide (HCA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Nursing (LPN/RN) OR
- 75-hour training for Home Care Aide Certification
- Current CPR/first aid and blood borne pathogens class
- Maintain HCA Certification with 12 hours of continuing education per year
Income/Benefits:
Alongside a competitive salary and benefits, this position includes a housing package with full rent coverage for the applicant.Payment from Home Healthcare Agency for Personal Care Services for each Resident Salary is exempt from Federal Income Tax.
