A healthcare services organization in New York City is currently seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and/or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join one of their community health centers in the Bronx as a Clinician. About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (3 days WFH; 2 days onsite)
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (11am to 7pm on Tues / Thurs)
- Setting: Outpatient/Clinic
- Patient Volume: 9 patients per day
- Patient Population: Adolescent / Pediatric (Ages 5 to 21)
Responsibilities: The Clinician (LMSW / LMHC) will:
- Gather, analyze, and evaluate data collected relating to the patient's bio-psychosocial and family problems, current mental status and individual/family functioning
- Complete intake assessments, as requested by Clinical Supervisor
- Complete diagnostic evaluations and develops treatment plans, acting collaboratively with the patient and the treatment team in order to define appropriate goals, outcomes and time frames for treatment ability
- Intervene psychotherapeutically with patients by utilizing individual, group and family therapy modalities in order to improve the individual's level of functioning.
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary
- Work collaboratively with the Psychiatrist to implement the patient's treatment plan
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and/or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Familiarity with working with the Mental Health community and people with Chronic / Persistent Mental Illness
