We're partnering with an LNG client based in Houston to find an Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent to direct hire immediately.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical maintenance activities across the facility, focusing on maximizing equipment availability.
- Demonstrate proactive safety leadership, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the maintenance execution team.
- Coach, mentor, and lead maintenance team members to help them reach their full potential.
- Ensure skilled labor is available to cover critical maintenance activities.
- Oversee all maintenance disciplines, including Mechanical, Instrumentation & Controls, Electrical, and Plant Services, while upholding a collaborative, One-Team approach.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and ongoing support of the Integrated Activity Planning & Scheduling process.
- Continuously review and support Preventative & Corrective Maintenance Plans aligned with facility equipment.
- Lead execution activities for all Safety Critical Elements (SCE), statutory, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Accountable for executing breakdown, corrective, and preventative maintenance for mechanical systems in the facility.
- Provide leadership support to the Turnaround Team before and during turnarounds.
- Lead mechanical teams in executing major maintenance, including plant and unit shutdowns.
- Ensure all planned activities are completed on schedule, optimizing tooltime, and minimizing costs and delays.
- Review and optimize materials and parts to ensure cost-effective maintenance.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement through value-adding programs and cost-saving initiatives.
- Assist with the development and management of the Maintenance Budget.
- Take ownership of incident investigations related to maintenance activities.
- Travel may be required for meetings and training.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience in LNG export facilities in a mechanical maintenance execution lead role.
- 10+ years of supervisory experience in LNG, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in mechanical maintenance activities.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and documentation (e.g., P&ID, ISO, GA).
- Experience with the testing and inspection of Safety Critical Elements (SCE) and statutory and federal regulatory compliance.
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
- Strong time management and effective communication skills.
- Goal-setting and performance management skills.
- Exceptional knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP or similar).
- Experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) or Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
- Experience developing critical maintenance procedures.
- Working knowledge of Management of Change (MOC) processes.
- Experience developing and reviewing maintenance Opex budgets.
- Frontline leadership experience during turnarounds.
- Extensive mechanical experience in LNG, including turbo machinery, compressors, pumps, motors, and other related equipment.
- Adaptability to manage changes in the work environment, including adjusting to deadlines and delays.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer applications.
