Job Title: Head Loader
Reports To: Team Leader and Shipping Management Team
Shift/Hours: Wed-Sunday/10:45 pm- 6:45 pm
Starting Pay: $21.44 per hour
We are seeking a Head Loader for our Loading Dock at our aluminum manufacturing facility. As a critical member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all loading and unloading processes while ensuring the safe and efficient handling of aluminum products. You will lead a team of loaders, coordinating their activities to maintain a smooth workflow in a high-paced environment. Your expertise in logistics and materials handling will play a vital role in meeting production schedules and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. In this position, you will engage with multiple departments, including production, quality control, and shipping, to enhance product flow and ensure timely deliveries. Your leadership skills will be essential in training new team members, improving loading techniques, and implementing best practices within our operations. What You Will Be Responsible For:
* Oversee and coordinate the loading and unloading of aluminum products on the loading dock.
* Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed by all team members during loading operations.
* Manage the schedules of loaders to optimize workflow and enhance productivity.
* Train new employees on proper loading techniques and safety procedures.
* Maintain inventory control and accurate records of loaded and unloaded products.
* Collaborate with production and shipping departments to meet delivery schedules.
* Conduct regular inspections of loading equipment and report any maintenance needs to management.
* Loading trailers, driving yard truck and filling in for absent employees.
What You Will Need:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in a loading dock or warehouse environment, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
* Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively oversee loaders.
* Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in materials handling.
* Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and product specifications.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate loading processes.
* Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physical demanding environment.
* Experience with loading equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery.
* Must pass a company background check and drug screen.
