Loan Servicing Specialist I - Peoples Security Bank & Trust Company : Job Details

Our Loan Servicing Specialists are responsible for performing a variety of daily loan servicing duties associated with all commercial, consumer, and real estate loans; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; and responding to inquiries or requests for information.

Essential Duties:

• Uploads new loans.
• Maintains and upkeeps all loan files (active and inactive).
• Quotes loan payoff and processes payments for all loan types.
• Verifies and corrects un-posted loan payments on a daily basis; reviews billing statements daily.
• Performs duties relating to participation loans.
• Investigates customer problems, operational and other issues; resolves in a timely manner to ensure high quality customer service.
• Updates and maintains customer files for all insurance policies received including mortgages, SFM's.
• Maintains credit life and disability insurance premiums; checks and verifies all premium payments for AI.
• Ensures recording of all mortgages and loan documentation with proper public officials.
• Maintains various daily reports.
• Run a report of paid off loans daily. Mail paid notes and remove collateral, prepare satisfactions and e-file.
• Letter of credit billing.
• Review daily system maintenance to be sure supporting documents are scanned.
• Review new loan cards with loan note system accuracy.
• Access cash items from EIP.

Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent; specialized banking education and training preferred.

Skill(s): Must demonstrate strong communication skills; proficient analytical and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations skills; proficient PC skills; a working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures which impact loan document services; knowledge of lending policies and procedures.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in related positions normally required.
