WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN Nurse Resident for a local contract nursing job in Queens, New York.

Exciting opportunity to work with a large social services agency on Long Island. The are seeking an RN to join their team. You will be responsible for residential homes throughout Queens and Nassau county.

Job Function:

• Day Shift
• Monday through Friday, 7am - 3pm
• Provide nursing care and treatment for emergency and minor relief; this includes, but is not limited to: performing assessments, giving first aid treatments, changing dressings and administering medications
• Collaborate with all health care professionals, pharmacies, labs and hospitals and coordinate care to ensure all health care needs of the individuals are met
• Attend pertinent medical and psychiatric appointments to advocate for the individuals and ensure appropriate treatment plans
• Follow up on all treatment recommendations in a timely manner
• Ensure all medical and psychiatric treatment plans are compliant with current Standards of Care and State Regulations
• Check monthly medication order for accuracy and monitor for adequate supply of medication in the residence at all times
• Verify each newly prescribed medication and ensure that each is filled in a timely manner; ensure fiscal responsibility around medication ordering

Job Requirements:

• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
• Experience in ID/DD preferred
• Valid New York State Registered Nurse's License
• Valid NY State Driver's License required
