WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a skilled Phlebotomist for an ongoing assignment at a Prestigious Outpatient Facility in Brooklyn.

Job Function:

• Ability to perform blood draws from veins using various techniques as needed
• Enter patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into computer
• Explain procedure to patients
• Dispose of any contaminated needles or other biohazard fluids or tissue in accordance to policy and procedure
• Organize and clean blood-drawing trays to ensure all instruments are sterile
• Process blood or other samples for further analysis as requested

Job Requirements:

• Completion of Phlebotomy program
• Phlebotomy Certification
• 6 months of Phlebotomy experience required
• BLS preferred (American Heart Association)
