Summary of Need:As a Registered Nurse, you will help fulfill the mission of providing medically necessary, evidence-based integrated health care to patients going through the judicial system. Our nurses are engaged, lifelong learners who believe in a culture of collaboration, communication, and a team approach to quality patient care. Daily, you will respond to the medical needs and provide necessary continuity of care that may emerge during a patient's stay in the county jail system.Job duties, that include but are not limited to:Provide assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventionsMonitor patient's progress and evaluate outcomesPerform standard nursing procedures appropriate to patient needsComplete and process all required documentation, including plans and discharge planning, in a comprehensive, objective, and legible mannerProvide health-related education to patients as appropriate to patient needsAdminister medication and addresses other pharmacological needsPerform basic intravenous and phlebotomy skillsParticipate in orientation and training of new employees, contract staff, students, and othersJob Qualifications:Valid, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing or issued by another state recognized by the Arizona Board of Nursing as a multi-compact license state Ability to work inside a jailAbility to respond to emergenciesAbility to get on the floor to perform CPR/chest compressions, push medical equipment, climb stairs, and lift patients on a gurney that may weigh up to 35 poundsWill be assigned to various clinical locations within 5-mile radiusTwo or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical/Surgical, ER, Urgent Care, or Psychiatric setting – preferred.Shift : Full Time – Nights (3-12hr shifts)Every other weekend and some holidays.Contract Length: Minimum of 13 weeks with options for extensionsEquiliem Healthcare specializes in staffing clinical, non-clinical, and allied personnel.
