Cross Country Allied is seeking a local contract Respiratory Therapist for a local contract job in Clinton, Maryland.Job Description & Requirements* Specialty: Respiratory Therapist* Discipline: Allied Health Professional* Duration: 13 weeks* 36 hours per week* Shift: 12 hours, days, nights* Employment Type: Local ContractRespiratory Therapist - RRT - RTFull-Time / Permanent PositionShift: 7:00am - 7:30pm or 7:00pm - 7:30am + weekend rotationCompetitive pay scale with full benefits and overtime incentives$3,500 relocation assistance available!New graduates welcome!Greater Washington DC areaResponsibilitiesMonitor equipment related to cardiopulmonary therapy.Collaborate with other members of healthcare team while providing respiratory expertise.Administer aerosol-based medications.Analyze blood samples to determine levels of oxygen and other gases.Manage life support mechanical ventilation systems and other artificial airways.Assess vital signs and document clinical findingsPerform patient examinations, stress tests, access lung capacity, spectrum specimens, etc.Provide patient education to patient and family regarding various pulmonary therapies for a variety issues including asthma, COPD, smoking cessation, etc.RequirementsCompletion of an approved respiratory therapy programRRT Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)CRT may be accepted in place of RRT. However, an RRT must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
