LocumJobsOnline is working with Cynet Locums to find a qualified Geriatrics NP in Indiana!About The PositionJob Title: Nurse PractitionerJob Specialty: Geriatric MedicineJob Duration: 6 monthsShift: Day, 5x8, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMGuaranteed Hours: 40 HoursExperience: Minimum of one year working with the frail or elderly population strongly preferredLicense: Active IN License requiredCertifications: BLS, CDS, DEA; Board Certified by ANCC or AANP requiredMust-Have: Geriatric experience desiredJob Description:- Provide primary medical management in collaboration with the PACE Organization Physician(s).- Perform assessments in collaboration with the physician and as needed.- Develop and implement appropriate plans of care for participants.- Evaluate participant physical complaints and provide appropriate treatment.- Provide participants and caregiver teaching and education.- Function as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).- Provide daily oversight of the organization's clinic.- Perform rounds in contracted nursing homes.- Regularly inform the IDT of the medical condition of each participant and document changes in the participant's medical record.- Demonstrate superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills.- Exhibit high decision-making skills, flexibility to adapt to ongoing changes, and organizational agility.- Possess strong interpersonal skills to drive collaboration, commitment, and productivity.- Exhibit comprehensive to expert proficiency with Microsoft product suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).- Possess high accountability, responsibility, and decision-making abilities.- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining excellent customer service skills.- Possess critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize workload.- Be available for on-call coverage one week on and one week off. For weekdays, on-call is from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM the next day.
