The position is open due to growth and expansion of services. The facility has a large primary care and community referral base. The role offers a full scope of interventional procedures, including PCI and PVIR. The Interventional Cardiologist will rotate through the hospital, lab, and clinic, with NP/PA support. Responsibilities include shared Stemi call and outreach services to nearby hospitals. The team is described as high caliber and collegial, with a low-stress, engaging environment. The interventional cardiologist will manage inpatient and clinic patients, rotate into the cardiac Cath Lab schedule, cover imaging rotation, and share both general and interventional call. Privileges include the ability to assess, stabilize, and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with emergency and consultative call services. Core privileges include various interventional cardiology procedures, with provisions for special requested procedures based on prior experience and new training reappointment criteria. Maintaining regular attendance, demonstrating effective critical thinking and flexibility, and providing effective responses to frequently changing job situations are expected.
