Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Gastroenterology - $475 to $500 per hour in Harrisburg, PA - Curative : Job Details

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist with at least 24 months of experience for a locum assignment starting May 2025.

Position Details:

• Duration: Ongoing, 6–12 months (minimum 7 days/month)
  • Schedule: On-site: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
  • 24-hour call: In-house (day), pager (night, 30-min response)
• Setting: Inpatient with full hospital support staff
• Patient Mix: 95% adult, 5% pediatrics
• Case Load: Average of 7 admissions per call shift
  • Responsibilities: Rounding, consultations, procedures, follow-ups, discharges, and night call coverage
  • Required Procedures: Colonoscopy, EGD, PEGs, Esophageal Varices & Stenting, including ERCPs

Additional Information:

• Charting System: EPIC
• Certifications: BLS required
• Licensure: Willing to wait for licensure
• Credentialing: ~60 days
