Job Title: Locum Gastroenterology PhysicianJob Specialty: GastroenterologyJob Duration: 13 monthsShift: Days, Monday to Friday, 8-hour day with a 30-minute lunch breakGuaranteed Hours: Information not specifiedExperience: Minimum years of experience not specifiedLicense: Active ME license preferred but not requiredCertifications: ACLS, BLS requiredMust-Have:- Board Certified in Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA)- Institutional ADR at time of clearing (35% or greater)- COVID and flu vaccineJob Description:- Perform endoscopic procedures for adults in the OR, with potential one day per week in the clinic.- Work in a supportive environment with full staff in the OR.- The position does not require weekend or on-call duties.- Ability to handle 14-16 patients per day in clinic.- Utilize onsite lab and x-ray facilities.- EMR system used is Epic.- Required procedures include lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, banding of varices, and diagnosis.- Advanced procedures experience is preferred but not required.- Preferred provider performs therapeutic procedures.- Anesthesia support includes both a CRNA and an anesthesiologist per gastroenterologist.
