Job Title: Locum Tenens GastroenterologistJob Specialty: Internal Medicine - GastroenterologyJob Duration: 13 weeksShift: Day - 8x5 - 9 AMGuaranteed Hours: Not specifiedExperience: Not specifiedLicense: Board CertifiedCertifications: BLS RequiredMust-Have: Fellowship in GastroenterologyJob Description:- Provide coverage for elective gastroenterology procedures- Available for 24-hour call coverage during assigned periods- Attend orientation from 8 AM to 1 PM at the start of the assignment- Perform upper GI endoscopy with required skills, including biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeder - Conduct ERCP, both diagnostic and therapeutic, with PEG placement- Capable of esophageal dilation/manometry and interpreting manometry results- Perform small bowel biopsy and lower GI endoscopy, including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy- Conduct colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyps- Skilled in liver biopsy and insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube- Work with a level 3 trauma facility and pediatric level 3 facility- Utilize travel discounts provided for Spring Hill Suites for lodging
