We are seeking a Locums Neurosurgery Physician to provide 24-hour on-call coverage in a hospital-based setting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This position offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of neurosurgical cases while supporting patient care during scheduled vacation coverage and sporadic future needs.The shift schedule involves 24-hour on-call coverage from 7 AM to 7 AM, Friday through Monday. The initial dates of coverage are from December 24 at 7 AM through December 27 at 7 AM, with additional sporadic vacation coverage to be determined in the future. The practice setting is entirely hospital-based, ensuring a consistent and focused patient care environment.The ideal candidate must be skilled in a wide range of neurosurgical procedures. These include general neurosurgery cases, clot and tumor removal, and shunt insertion or revision. Expertise in spinal surgeries such as diskectomy, laminectomy, spinal fusion, vertebroplasty, and kyphoplasty is essential, along with spine stabilization and reconstruction. Additionally, the physician must be experienced in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) sampling from shunts or external ventricular drains and proficient in external ventricular drain management.Requirements

• Certification:
  • Board Certified in Neurosurgery.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Licensure: Active Florida medical license.
