Job Title: PhysicianJob Specialty: Pediatrics, Medical GeneticsJob Duration: 13 weeksShift: Day - 5x8 - 09:00AM - 05:00PM - 40 HoursGuaranteed Hours: Not specifiedExperience: Minimum years not specifiedLicense: Board Certification RequiredCertifications: BLS, PALSMust-Have: Detailed-oriented, flexibility in task adaptation, effective team collaboration, passion for genetics, commitment to high standards of care and accuracyJob Description:- Provide comprehensive coverage for all shifts within the genetics department, including night calls.- Conduct genetic testing and analyze laboratory results to ensure accurate patient diagnoses.- Maintain meticulous records and communicate findings clearly.- Provide support in patient counseling as needed.- Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.- Perform a variety of tasks, adapting to various requirements and duties within the department.- Manage pediatric and newborn ventilation, both acute and chronic, using preferred techniques.- Participate in procedures such as intubation, conscious and deep sedation, central and arterial line insertion, and other specialized tasks.- Interpret X-rays and EKGs accurately.- Engage in advanced procedures like thoracentesis, paracentesis, and exchange transfusion.- Address patient encounters efficiently, managing up to eight daily.- Ensure certification and credentialing are updated and maintained.
