Job Details:
  • Coverage: Ongoing
  • Specialty: MD/DO OB-GYN
  • Position Open: 1
  • Setting: Critical Access Hospital and Clinic; 25 bed critical access hospital with 3 L&D beds and 4 post partum beds. Level I Nursery, Level I Trauma only 36 weeks and above
  • Schedule/Availability Requirements: 24 hr call 7a-7a with 20 min response time; Contact by cell phone. Clinic- 8a-5p Monday-Friday
  • 7-8 call shifts/month, can be combined with clinic days; 3 days of clinic per week, 3 weeks per month preferred; Multiple part time locums accepted to fill schedule: Site prefers just one for clinic consistency, willing to consider locums for just call or clinic.
  • Average worked Callback Hours: weekday - 3-4h, weekend - 1-2h; weekday less than 50% weekday, weekends and ER
  • Duties: OB/GYN clinic care, OB and GYN call coverage through L&D Unit and ED.
  • Required Procedures: C-Section, Ectopic
  • Needs: Low risk, high risk, and FHR interpretation required. Routine delivery and complicated delivery. Repair of 3rd-4th degree lacerations. C-sections- must be willing to help and supervise if needed.
  • Must be comfortable handling OB inductions from group, mostly emergent GYN surgeries. ** incomplete presentations will not be accepted.
  • Typical Cases: OB: low risk/high risk, ultrasounds, amniocentesis. L&D: routine/complicated, VBACs, C-Sections. GYN: GYN Surgery
  • PPD: 18
  • Rounding required? Only in post-op
  • Will the locum be the sole provider? On call yes, will have colleagues in clinic
  • Any MFMs? Can refer out, not on site
  • In house anesthesia? Yes
  • Will locum do admits? Yes
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Support Staff: MA or LPN in clinic. L&D RNs at Hospital
  • Travel Preferences: Preferred Lodging: Preferred hotels, Airbnb considered due to amount of hours needed (travel exceptions will still need to go through operations and remain competitive with hotel rates). Please detail any anticipated travel exceptions, for example a dietary restriction necessitating specific lodging situations. Travel exception requests will be denied if this information is not part of the provider presentation.
  • Credentialing Information: 90 days (completed application needs to be returned to facility 48 hours after receipt)
  • Credentialing with other facilities? Yes
  • Billing enrollment - Is this position providing services in lieu of an existing enrolled provider for a period of 60 days or less? No
Requirements:
  • Active Unrestricted WA License
  • Board Certification –Required
  • IMLC considered (LOQ must be uploaded or submission will be rejected)
  • Malpractice – Clean Preferred
  • Certifications: DEA, BLS, ACLS, ATLS, NRP, PALS, Copy of clean Sex Offender search
  • Availability at time of name clear – Required
  • Up-to-date CV (Gaps greater than 30 days will need notation/explanation of gap in work history)
  • Malpractice documentation (NPDB and or write up).
  • Must include ALL cases, dates, and payouts.
  • Disciplinary Actions (Must provide a detailed explanation)
