**Job Title:** Hospitalist**Job Specialty:** Obstetrics and Gynecology**Job Duration:** 13 months**Shift:** 12-hour or 24-hour shifts available**Guaranteed Hours:** Approximately 144 hours per month, mix of shifts**Experience:** Not specified**License:** ABOG Board Certified**Certifications:** - ACLS- ATLS- BLS**Must-Have:** - Experience with obstetric and gynecological procedures- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology**Job Description:**- The hospitalist will cover inpatient OB as well as inpatient GYN consults on the floor and in the ER.- There is no outpatient coverage involved with this position.- Shift sign-out is at 7 am/7 pm; shifts are either 12 or 24 hours in duration.- Weekend shifts are scheduled as 6 am to 3 pm, 2 pm to 11 pm, and 10 pm to 7 am.- Candidates should have primarily weekday/weeknight availability, with some weekend shifts.- The role includes collaboration with midwives and providing increased care in necessary situations.- Responsibilities include managing low and high-risk pregnancies, performing OB ultrasounds, and conducting routine and complicated deliveries including c-sections and breech deliveries.- Surgical skills required include open and laparoscopic gynecologic surgeries and office/minor gynecology procedures.- Candidates should possess the ability to interpret fetal heart rates and manage various delivery complications.- Creditable references and completion of necessary credentials as part of the hiring process are required.
