A large hospital is seeking an anatomic/clinical pathologist for locum tenens coverage.The facility is located in North Dakota.This position requires working Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a 1:5 call rotation that is primarily telephone-based and rarely requires coming in. The role includes handling a surgical volume of approximately 14,000, performing pap smears, cytology of body fluids, frozen sections, fine needle aspiration (FNA) adequacy evaluations (500 procedures), and participating in tumor boards. The workload includes GYN cases (6,146), non-GYN cases (1,300), and no autopsies. Emergencies may involve urgent frozen sections and emergent blood bank transfusions, with both AP/CP call responsibilities.
