Job Title: Locum Tenens PhysicianJob Specialty: Pediatric General/Trauma SurgeryJob Duration: 13 monthsShift: Day - 8x5 - 08AMGuaranteed Hours: Full-time position, guaranteed hours as per contractExperience: Recent graduates board eligible candidates can be presented; Fellowship requiredLicense: Board Eligible or Board Certified; Fellowship in Pediatric SurgeryCertifications: ACLS, BLS, PALSMust-Have: Pediatric General/Trauma Surgery skills, Laparoscopic SurgeryJob Description:- Work in a Level 1 Pediatric facility with a Level 2 trauma center- Provide both inpatient and outpatient care for patients aged 0-17 (trauma up to 15)- Expected to work in the clinic from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, seeing 10-15 patients per day- Participate in 24-hour call duties, including nights and weekends- Call responsibilities include being the first contact with 8 calls per month, starting at 7 AM and ending at 6:59 AM the following day- Collaborate and work with a support staff of 5 Advanced Care Practitioners (ACPs) and 2 Medical Assistants (MAs)- Utilize Cerner for charting and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)- Perform a variety of surgeries including laparoscopic procedures, appendectomies, cholecystectomies, hernioplasties, Nissen fundoplications, chest wall/pleural procedures, breast surgeries, liver surgeries, GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, minor orthopedics, and required pediatric-specific surgeries such as intestinal and biliary artesias, abdominal wall defects, gastroschisis, umbilical defects, and hernias- Credentialing process expected to take approximately 60 days
