Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Psychiatry in Kansas - SUMO Medical Staffing : Job Details

SPECIALTY: PSYCHIATRY - ADULT INPATIENT LOCATION: KANSAS (1 hour south of Kansas City) JOB TYPE: LOCUMS JOB NUMBER: 48021 DESCRIPTION: FT Inpatient 40 hrs per week (M-F, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), NO Telehealth Start Date: ASAP ? Ongoing. Rare call: 1-2 times per month. Admit and treat court-committed and forensic patients. Document patient progress and treatment plans per accrediting standards. Court testimonies are needed sometimes. Assess medical and psychiatric changes, including lab results. Review and update medication and treatment orders regularly. Complete discharge summaries promptly. Participate in morning meetings and treatment team discussions. REQUIRED: KS license, active and unrestricted At least 1 yr post residency experience. CPR/BLS from the American Heart Association Completion of a 2-day CPI course. Successful completion of a urine drug screen and background check. Credentialing requires three supervising direct reference responses. Additional Information: Orientation period: 7 working days. Regular supervision and peer review of work.
