We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locums Radiology-Diagnostic/Light Interventional Physician to join our team in South Pasadena, FL. This position offers the opportunity to provide both diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology services, with a strong focus on patient care and the use of advanced imaging technologies. The position requires flexibility and proficiency in both areas, with additional responsibilities for on-call coverage.Shift Description:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology)
- Saturday to Sunday: Diagnostic Radiology (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Weekend requirements: Yes, for both diagnostic radiology and on-call coverage
- On-call requirements: Yes, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM (for after-hours emergencies and procedures)
The physician will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. The diagnostic radiology work will involve the use of imaging technologies such as CT scans, ultrasound, MRI, and fluoroscopy. In addition, the physician will be expected to perform diagnostic procedures such as parasentesis, thoracentesis, and abscess drains, among others.The interventional radiology component of the role includes performing all necessary interventional procedures, such as biopsies, drain placements, and other minimally invasive interventions. The physician will be required to read and interpret diagnostic studies between performing interventional procedures.If the physician has mammography experience, they will also be expected to read mammography films and perform related procedures such as stereotactic biopsies and needle localization.Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology or Radiology with Interventional Radiology training
- Active Florida Medical License (or eligibility to obtain)
